Career:
Elisabeth undertook her pupillage at Pump Court Tax chambers and 7 New Square (Messrs Justices Vinelott and Rattee as now are). She obtained a tenancy at 7 New Square and practised there specialising in Law of Property / Trusts of Land Act work and Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act work. On that set's amalgamation with others to form Maitland chambers, she elected to come to 1 Mitre Court Buildings (as 1 Hare Court then was); preferring the much better opportunities for advocacy.
Principal areas of practice:
Matrimonial finance, private children law, Inheritance Act work, Trusts of Land Act claims and antenuptial contracts ("prenups").
Education:
Elisabeth was the 1989 winner of the Simmons & Simmons Revenue Law Prize.
She lectured on trusts and land law at University College, London.
Membership:
Family Law Bar Association.
Personal:
Married to another member of chambers.
Four children.
