Gavin Smith

Career:

Gavin Smith has been in practice since 1991. His principal areas of practice are:

* Ancillary relief and other financial proceedings on marital breakdown, especially those with an international dimension
* Disputes concerning jurisdiction and forum
* Financial applications for children under the Children Act 1989
* Domestic and reciprocal enforcement of financial orders
* Private law disputes concerning children.

Gavin Smith is a Resolution trained collaborative lawyer. 

He is a co editor of At A Glance and @eGlance, co author of Smith & Bishop, Enforcing Financial Orders in Family Proceedings (Butterworths, 2000) and a specialist contributor to Rayden & Jackson, 18th edition, Chapters 28 and 29, on domestic and international enforcement of financial orders.

He has a working knowledge of French (good) and German (fair).
